Followers Call for Arrest of Man Who Touched Ariana Grande
Devoted followers of the pop star are calling for that a person who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A widely shared video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by guards.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.
Record of Incidents
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile features recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.
A number of supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.
