Netflix Selects Perfect Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t unfold until the third season, and a adored, popular member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

This performer is joined by multiple new cast members set to bring the group to life, such as chief Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
