It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their hitters to hold a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to deliver her most recent brilliance.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from there the batsman was in motion.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she regretted not playing through the pain.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as skipper.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
