The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the traitor.
